FAQs

  • Chainmaille or Chainmail jewelry is made by weaving small metal rings together to create beautiful patterns and textures. This ancient technique was originally used to make armor but has been transformed into stunning wearable art. Each piece is carefully crafted by hand by Georgia, making every necklace, bracelet, or earring unique. Chainmaille combines strength and elegance in a way that few other jewelry styles can.

  • Yes, we love custom orders. Depending on the design, your piece may take one to two weeks to complete. Sometimes we need to track down the perfect rings or special components, so a little extra time might be needed. Georgia will keep you in the loop every step of the way.

  • Georgia personally curates every material and component that goes into her work. She carefully chooses metals that are free of nickel, lead, and cadmium, so you can wear your jewelry with confidence. Her philosophy is simple—jewelry should feel good, look beautiful, and never make you worry about irritation or breakouts.

  • Niobium is a rare, hypoallergenic metal that is ideal for people with sensitive skin. It is naturally resistant to tarnish, corrosion, and rust, making it a durable and reliable choice for everyday jewelry.

Niobium is one of the most skin-friendly metals available. Even customers who react to other metals can usually wear niobium comfortably. It is lightweight but strong, which makes it perfect for intricate chainmaille designs.

Through a process called anodizing, niobium can display rich, vibrant colors like purple, teal, blue, and even rainbow hues. These colors are not painted on or coated. They are created through controlled electricity that changes the surface of the metal. The result is permanent color that does not peel or chip.

  • Short answer: No.

    Long Answer:
Only if the battle involves slaying compliments. While it may not stop a sword, it will stop people in their tracks. These rings are woven for style, not shield walls. So unless your battlefield is a renaissance fair or a jewelry booth, maybe leave the real armor to the knights.

  • When not worn, you should keep your piece in a jewelry box or anywhere that is dry.
If you need to clean your piece, gentle soap and water will do the trick. Avoid harsh chemicals and chlorinated pools with Anodized jewelry (titanium, niobium, and aluminum).
Here is a breakdown for every type of material.

    • Stainless Steel: If it gets dull or grimy, just use warm water and mild soap. Soak it for a few minutes, gently scrub with a soft toothbrush, rinse, and pat dry. For extra shine, use a jewelry polishing cloth (non-abrasive).

    • Titanium: Use warm water and mild soap if your piece needs a refresh. A soft toothbrush works great to get between the rings. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a soft cloth.

    • Anodized Titanium: The vivid colors come from a delicate oxidized layer, not paint or dye. While the titanium itself is strong, the color can fade or scratch if rubbed against hard surfaces. Use lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap. Gently clean with your fingers or a very soft cloth. Avoid scrubbing or using a toothbrush — even soft bristles can dull the finish. Rinse well and pat dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.

    • Aluminum/Anodized Aluminum: Anodized aluminum is super light and comfy, but the colored surface layer can scratch or fade if handled too roughly. Avoid wearing it while doing heavy work, working out, or sleeping — these can cause friction that wears the color.

    • Niobium/Anodized Niobium: Anodized niobium is strong, but the colorful finish can fade or scratch if it rubs against rough surfaces. Avoid dropping or tossing your jewelry into bags, trays, or drawers — always handle with care. Use lukewarm water and a drop of mild, fragrance-free soap. Gently clean with your fingers or a super-soft cloth. No scrubbing, no brushes. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry — avoid rubbing it with anything abrasive. Do not use harsh chemicals on Niobium.
